In 1995, Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in Merrimack, NH, started Independent Baptist Mission with one missionary couple who desired the church to be their sending agency. Over the years, the Lord has continued to add missionaries. In 2009, the name was changed to IBMGlobal to more accurately reflect the world-wide vision of the mission board.

Pastor Larry Clouse

Larry graduated from Appalachian Bible College in 1967. After completing a Missionary Internship, he served as a church planter with Biblical Ministries Worldwide for ten years in the South Pacific. Following that he pastored in Pontiac, Michigan, for four years while serving as Professor of Missions at Midwestern Baptist College.

He has planted several churches and in 1981, he planted Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in New Hampshire. After serving as the pastor of Merrimack Valley Baptist Church for 34 years, he resigned in 2015 and became the full time director of IBM Global while also ministering in church revitalization as Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Burlington, Massachusetts. In January of 2021, he passed the baton to our new director, Jamie Smith. Larry will continue to be active with IBM Global in church planting and revitalization.

During his 40 years of ministry, his passion for world missions has not been diminished. He has ministered in over 35 different countries around the world and has been instrumental in starting and serving on several foreign mission boards.
