In 1979 Jim and Denise, with their four children, began their missionary career preparing for and ministering in the Philippines for the next 12 years. Additionally to church planting and assisting Filipinos in their church plants and camp ministries, 3 more children, including twins born in the Philippines, were added to their family. In 1990 their 8th child was born in the states followed by a transition to a stateside pastoral ministry in 1991. Jim pastored churches in five states and continued working with children in Creation Camps and Summer camping ministries.
As missionaries with IBM Global they began a revitalization ministry with Crosspointe Baptist Church in Troy, Missouri in 2017. In August of 2021 Jim and Denise celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and within days of that celebration both contracted Covid. After a lifetime of inseparably ministering together, Jim was called home. They have 8 children (Tammy, Chad, Tara, Tania, Marc, Jon, Jen and Carrie and 25 grandchildren.
Denise looks forward to continuing to minister in whatever capacity God has for her with IBMGlobal.
